مجتبی محمدزاده، جوان ۲۱ سالهای بود که اصالتاً اهل قوچان و ساکن شهر مشهد بود. او در حرفه کابینتسازی فعالیت میکرد و به گفته اطرافیان و دوستانش، جوانی بسیار کوشا و زحمتکش بود که با تلاش بسیار در حرفه خود اشتغال داشت. مجتبی با آغاز جنبش انقلابی و در پاسخ به وقایع کشور، به صفوف معترضان پیوست. او با روحیهای عدالتخواهانه و در توجیه حضور خود در خیابانها بیان کرده بود که خون او از بقیه رنگینتر نیست و به همین سبب وظیفه خود میدانست که در کنار مردم بایستد. در تاریخ ۱۹ دیماه ۱۴۰۴، زندگی این جوان برومند توسط ماموران جمهوری اسلامی در مشهد پایان یافت. یاد او به عنوان یکی از جانباختگان راه آزادی که با شجاعت و فداکاری در مسیر جنبش ملی ایران گام برداشت، در خاطرهها باقی مانده است.
